Creating Partnerships between Families who require the support of the Vitamin Program and Pharmacies
HOW IT WORKS
-
Families with children aged 0 to 12-years (13 to 18-years is optional) may contact their local Pharmacy (if the Pharmacy is involved in the Program and apply for support through the VITAMIN SUPPORT PROGRAM
-
The Pharmacist may contact an Advocate through the Program website (www.vitamin-sp.ca) and the Advocate may locate a Sponsor for the vitamins and supplements
-
If an Advocate is not located then the Pharmacist may contact the local Food Bank Personnel and join the program.
-
The local Pharmacy agrees to provide the required vitamins for the family and share in the cost of the vitamins – 50-50 split as a contribution to the Family and the Program
-
Healthy Children in Healthy Families
-
The Pharmacist submits the cost of the vitamins to the local Food Bank
